New Emergency Department Opens At South Shore Regional Hospital In Bridgewater
South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater opened its newly built emergency department at 6 a.m. Wednesday, marking a milestone in a multi-year campus redevelopment. The expanded facility features updated triage pods, dedicated trauma suites, and isolation rooms.
The capital project received more than $10.8 million in local donor contributions through the South Shore Health Foundation’s Brighter Days campaign. Hospital staff coordinated patient moves overnight without interrupting acute care services. Additional units for dialysis and endoscopy will open in phases later this month.
