Four Nova Scotia Credit Unions Vote To Merge Into Unified Cooperative
Members of four Nova Scotia credit unions, including East Coast Credit Union, approved an agreement to merge their institutions next year. The vote followed months of information sessions across rural and suburban branches.
The consolidated entity will serve tens of thousands of members across northern and eastern Nova Scotia. Leadership stated that pooling capital and technological resources will allow the credit union to invest in modern digital banking platforms while maintaining local branches and staff in smaller towns.
