A 32-year-old man is expected to appear in court after an early-morning crash in Beaver Bank.

RCMP officers responded to the 1200 block of Beaver Bank Road at approximately 1:40 a.m. on September 6. They found a damaged Honda Civic on the road with a man behind the wheel.

Police said the driver failed a roadside screening test. Further testing at the Lower Sackville RCMP detachment registered a blood-alcohol concentration of 130 milligrams per 100 millilitres of blood.

The legal limit for fully licensed drivers is 80 milligrams per 100 millilitres.

The man was released and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court on impaired-driving charges.

The allegations have not been proven in court.
