Police Investigate Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash Near Greenwood Square
A youth has died following a two-vehicle collision in Nova Scotia’s Kings County.
The crash happened Saturday around 12:30 p.m. in Greenwood Square. According to RCMP, a pickup truck and a car collided at the intersection of Highway 201 and Ward Road.
A passenger in the car, a youth from Kentville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Our thoughts are with the youth’s loved ones at this difficult time,” police said in a news release Sunday.
Police said a second passenger was airlifted to hospital. The driver was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The intersection was closed for several hours while a collision reconstructionist attended the scene.
The RCMP is asking anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have dashcam footage to contact Kings District RCMP at 902-679-5555.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
