Halifax Ganesh Festival Begins Today on the Waterfront
HALIFAX — A week-long celebration of Indian culture, food, music and community begins today on the Halifax waterfront.
The Halifax Ganesh Festival runs September 14 through 20 at Sackville Landing.
Now in its eighth year, the free festival includes a cultural village, live performances, food, art, decorations, children’s workshops and community showcases.
The celebration is presented by the Atlantic Club of Ganesh Festival and is open to everyone.
Organizers describe the event as an opportunity for generations and cultures to connect while sharing Indian traditions with the wider Nova Scotia community.
