Week-Long Art Workshop Begins Today in Annapolis Royal
ANNAPOLIS ROYAL — Artists are spending the week exploring one of Nova Scotia’s most historic communities through a new workshop beginning today at ARTSPLACE Gallery.
A Place in Time, led by artist Lorna Mulligan, runs from September 14 through 18 and combines outdoor painting with studio work.
Participants will use daily visual note-taking to capture different elements of Annapolis Royal, including its architecture, landscapes, scenery, people and objects.
The workshop is designed around the idea of intentional travel painting, encouraging artists to study not just how the community looks but the details that give it its character.
Sessions run from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day at ARTSPLACE Gallery on St. George Street.
