Valley Rotary clubs provide $21,500 in wildfire equipment
Thirteen fire stations across Kings County will have additional wildfire equipment thanks to a $21,500 contribution from five Annapolis Valley Rotary clubs.
The project followed the serious wildfires of 2025. Firefighters helped identify equipment their departments needed, including specialized hose fittings, wildfire axes, chainsaw helmets and medical bags.
The participating clubs were Kentville, Wolfville, Wolfville–Mud Creek, New Minas Sunrise and Middleton. The Kings County Firefighters Association helped coordinate equipment selection.
The new gear will be distributed among departments to support their response to future wildfires.
