Organizers say this year’s SailGP stop generated about $64 million in economic activity for Halifax.
The June 20–21 event brought 13 racing catamarans to the harbour and attracted approximately 12,000 ticket buyers, with additional spectators watching from other locations.
The estimate was reported Monday as the city looks ahead to another visit from the international sailing series. SailGP is scheduled to return to Halifax on May 15–16, 2027.
